Text Box: Dear Church Family, It is not long until school starts back. Where do the days go? Both our youth and children’s camps went well, with decisions to follow Christ, either for the first time or rededications. Let’s pray for and encourage all our young people every chance we get. I’m grateful for all those children and youth workers who are faithful, week after week, and give of their time and talents. If you have a heart for young people, maybe you need to pray about helping somewhere in those ministries. We, like so many other churches, have experienced a decline in church attendance and financial giving this summer. In fact, some ministries we have had to postpone because of lack of finances. I realize that our economy is not the best right now, with gas and food prices, along with the housing market being upside down. However, I do not believe it is the economy alone. I think that it is also a part of the philosophy our culture, in that commitment and loyalty to a church or denomination is not that important, especially to the younger generations. Review your record of giving to the budget of your church and if you have not been, please be consistent with your tithes and offerings. On the first Sunday in August (August 3rd) I am beginning a new sermon series entitled “30 Days To Live”. It’s subject matter deals with, not so much dying, but with living. If you knew that you had 30 days to live would you make any changes in your life? I hope you will be here to participate. What great opportunities we have to serve our Lord!
